new service

OK guys Ive noticed that the new d&d mini's look like some one with Parkinson's disease took a brush to them. as such i am now offering a new service i will repaint your D&D minis for you, only a couple of rules apply here that deviate from the norm.

YOU MUST supply your own minis, i will not go hunting for them. edit: this isnt quite true, if your looking for a good quality d&d model (lets say a female drow sorcerer) i will see if there is a Warhammer or Warhammer 40k (or even lord of the rings) that is close enough to what you want, and then do some mild conversions, i will however charge a bit extra for the conversion work and this model would be painted at detailed or above.

I will not reimburse you for ruined models. the plastic on the d&d minis is incredibly cheap if some thing happens to the mini during shipping or the painting process i will not re-imburse you for the model ( how ever other war gaming models that you ship to me i will remimburse if i irreprably damage a model you send me this does not cover shipping)

ill need an addition 5 dollars to cover costs ( for every 25 models) so your paying 10 dollars per 'kit' instead of 5. i look forward to the orders

Painting Service up and running

I don't have any pics yet but I will in the next post.

email is brotherofblood@gmail.com or manny_resvick@yahoo.com
my phone number will be available to clients who have already had their projects started

Here's how the prices go down.
Total cost = cost of models at games workshop market price (If i buy them )+ time + detail.

here how it goes down. If say you buy a ten man marine squad and don't want to build and/or paint it This is how much i would charge $40.00 ( if i buy them i charge five dollars extra per kit to cover tax, paints and thing that are special to your order, in this case a box of marines is 35 dollars as such i charge 40).

Now for time. Seeing as there's no way to accurately charge for time spent build ( and or painting) i can only charge for an estimated time. As such if i charge for an hour of building or painting and it takes me three hours to build or paint the models you only pay for an hour. so for a box of Tactical marines it would take me two hours to build and clean thoroughly so $14.00. ( equating to 7 dollars an hour well below minimum wage in my state)
Detail comes in three levels,
Table Top
Detailed
Centerpiece

Table top: will have no extra bits added in building ( save special weapons), and just a basic 3-4 color paint scheme as such there is no extra charge for table top quality models

Detailed: models will have extra bits ( pouches, knives, ect) as well as more advanced paint techniques ( line highlighting, free hand, scroll work, ect) as well as 4-8 colors on the model. the extra charge is $3.00 dollars an hour for detailed and I will go the extra mile to insure your models will impress fellow hobbyists

Centerpiece: This is the highest quality of work i can do. I will work with you on prices for center piece models. From building ( conversions with green stuff, battle damage, scarring) to painting ( wet blending, source lighting, non metallic metal) as such my cost for centerpiece models is much higher at $7.00 extra an hour.

So for table top quality Tactical marines unpainted that I buy. I charge $40.00+ $14.00+ $0.00= $54.00 for a Ten man marine squad.

Now the more you buy the less i charge so for every 300 dollars you spend i knock 5 percent of the price off. Up to 30 percent.

However for larger orders i will charge a little extra for models to ensure that there is enough paint and primer and such like for them.

As for payment i will require one of two things. One if you are having me buy the models i need the cost of the models up front plus half of the cost for time. If you want to supply the models then you will have to cover the shipping and handling, as well as half of the payment up front.

as for payment polices when i have completed the models i will require the payment in full before i ship the models to you.

I will keep you constantly up dated by picture and video on your models. i will not keep you in the dark on the progress of your models

I will also work to quickly get your order taken care of while still ensuring the highest level of quality

warhammer 40k

all right i play a game called warhammer 40k its a futuristic table top strategy game, where the premise is to annihilate your enemy ( who is not nearly as awesome as you). the game is expensive. you can get starter kits for about 70 bucks but in order to really start the game you need a good 300 bucks.

Anyway the whole premise of the game is that you build and paint your own models that you use in game allowing for amazingly in depth army's. And not just coloration's or paint jobs. You can convert your armies into almost anything you want or sculpt them from scratch ( as long as they follow certain rules) this makes the 'game' an art form as much as a strategy game.

My only issue. The price. The game is just to gods damned expensive you can spend five hundred bucks in one shopping trip and barely have any models to show for it. And trust me when you have friends not in the hobby who look at the five models you spend 35 bucks on they wont understand the intrinsic value of the model.

The price also leads to another problem with the game. Elitism
Peope with money can afford the better units and armies in the game meaning that people like me who have little money for such expensive hobbies, have two options
A) build up your army very very slowly and not expect to play with it for a year or more.
ot B) get the cheaper models, but suffer the lack of power you get from the more expensive units.
dont get me wrong this game isn't like magic the gathering were you cant get anywhere unless you have a super expensive deck. Skill and a little luck will almost always win the day. but its still very hard when all you can do is bring a knife to a gun fight.

all in all i recommend this game entirely, despite its short comings it has a wonderful community of gamers, deep rich background, excellent customer service, and its a lot of fun.
